The SPIRIT project recently concluded its first Open Call with outstanding success, setting the stage for the future of immersive telepresence technology across Europe. The initiative, which aimed to identify and support innovative telepresence applications, received an overwhelming response from various sectors, reflecting the growing interest and potential of this transformative technology.

An Impressive Response from Across Europe

A total of 61 proposals were submitted to Open Call 1, showcasing a variety of innovative ideas and approaches to advancing telepresence applications. Of these, 44 proposals were deemed feasible, highlighting the strong potential for real-world application and demonstrating the rapid evolution of this technology. The submissions spanned a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, entertainment, healthcare, education, security, tourism, and more.
Participants included SMEs, research organisations, and academic institutions, all contributing their unique perspectives and expertise to this cutting-edge field.
